Wild Wasteland keeps track of who found which easter egg first.

Games, movies, TV, music, real life. If someone hid it on purpose and someone else found it, it belongs here: one page per egg, with proof, a timestamp nobody can edit, and the name of the hunter who found it. Every game, film, show or album gets a basket with its eggs, the other things it references, and a leaderboard of the people who know it best.

There are plenty of easter egg lists. This is the one that remembers who did the work.

What counts

The classic definition is a message or feature hidden in a game on purpose. We cast a wider net, because hunters do: references, homages, jokes, secrets, hidden rooms, hidden messages, bonus features, cheat codes, glitches, exploits, audio samples, parodies, deleted content, hidden tracks, real-life crossovers. If it's hidden, surprising, or a wink from the people who made it, post it.

Two kinds of credit

• Documented by is whoever wrote the egg up here first. Automatic, permanent.
• Discovered by is who actually found it. Sometimes the same person, sometimes someone on a forum in 2009. Moderators check discovery claims against dated public proof before it becomes a badge. If an egg credits you and you're not on the site yet, you can claim it.

Who runs this

One founder and a small crew of volunteer moderators from the games' own communities. They verify eggs, merge duplicates, fix filing and decide reports. Everything they do is logged. Want in? Email legal@wildwasteland.com, or come say hi on the Discord.
