Welcome to Wild Wasteland. By using the site you agree to these terms. The plain-English summaries in each section are for convenience; the full text governs.

The service

Wild Wasteland is a community wiki that documents video game easter eggs: who found them, when, with what evidence. We host user submissions; we don't own the games referenced here, and we're not affiliated with any game publisher.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live). One account per person. You're responsible for what happens under your account. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the site Rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and distribute your content as part of running and promoting the service. Egg write-ups and evidence you upload are additionally published under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license, credited to you and the site — that's how creators and wikis can cite finds instead of copying them silently.

Only post what you have the right to post. Game screenshots and short gameplay clips you captured yourself are generally fine as documentation; don't upload other people's videos or watermarked work as your own. YouTube evidence stays on YouTube — we only embed it.

The rules

The site Rules page is part of these terms: evidence is required, one account per hunter, no vote manipulation, no false discovery claims. Moderators may verify, dispute, merge, re-file or remove content, and admins may mark accounts Unranked for integrity violations. Moderation actions are logged.

Timestamps and credit

"Documented by" timestamps are generated by our systems and are permanent. Discovery credits are claims until verified by moderators against dated public evidence. We may correct credit and merge duplicates to keep the record accurate.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email us at legal@wildwasteland.com with: the work, the infringing URL, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized to act. We respond to valid notices, including by removing content and closing repeat infringers' accounts.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Community content may be wrong; verify before you rely on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, points, rank or reputation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site, and continued use means acceptance. You can stop using the service or request account deletion at any time.
