Post an egg

You found something. Put your name on it before anyone else does. It takes about two minutes from a phone.

First, make sure it's new. When you press post, we check the basket for the closest eggs already there and ask "Is it one of these?" If yours is one of them, don't post it again: put your clip or what's missing in that egg's comments, and tap I found it too. A second copy just gets merged, and the credit stays with whoever posted first.

The essentials. This is everything a quick post needs:

1. Title it like a headline. Say what the thing is. "Skeleton in a fridge wearing a fedora" beats "Indiana Jones easter egg." Lead with the noun (the room, the sign, the line). A spoken line goes in quotes: "That's one doomed space marine." No caps lock, no "easter egg" in the title, no "INSANE." About 60 characters fits the card.
2. Pick the basket. The game, movie, show, song or place it lives in. Start typing. Most already exist.
3. Add proof. Best is a video: a YouTube link with the timestamp, a TikTok, a video post on X, or a Twitch clip (clip the moment; a whole broadcast expires, so it isn't accepted). No clip? One clean screenshot or a short GIF, cropped to the thing itself, with alt text so people who can't see it still get it. Got a screen recording on your phone (a PS5 or Xbox capture, or your phone's own)? Tap Make a moving picture, slide to where the moment starts, pick 2, 3 or 4 seconds, and it becomes a picture that plays on the egg's card. The video stays on your phone.

Tap Quick post. Your stamp gets the exact second you publish, and it never changes. Stop there and you've still banked +20.

• What it is. What's on screen, and what it's nodding to. Two sharp sentences beat a paragraph of throat-clearing. The +10 needs 100 characters or more.
• How to find it. The steps, in order. Lying in the open? Say where to stand: the +10 needs a line here.
• Types. Tag everything that fits, up to five.
• Connections. What it references. A Star Wars nod hiding in Fallout lives in the Fallout basket with a connection to Star Wars. That's how it shows up on the connections map.
• Who found it first. You, someone else, or a known finder from years back. Link the source if you have one. "Unknown" is an honest answer, and it beats a wrong one.

One egg, one title. Ten Indiana Jones nods in one game are either ten eggs or one write-up that says so, like "Every Indiana Jones nod in New Vegas". Don't post one vague egg that tries to cover them all.

Get it right and don't troll. Eggs that turn out not to be eggs get pulled, and the points leave with them.
