A TV commercial in trailer 2 advertises "Phil's Ammu-Nation", fronted by a cheerful, mullet-wearing gun seller named Phil. Fans connected him to Phil Cassidy, the arms dealer from GTA III and Vice City, though whether he is the same man, a relative or just a nod is unconfirmed, since the old 3D-era games sit in a separate continuity.
