Every level of the 2016 reboot hides a lever. Pull it and a door opens onto a chunk of a map from the original Doom games rebuilt in the new engine, pixel textures and all. Each classic map unlocks to play from the menu as soon as you find it.
How to find it
Each mission has one lever, usually off the main path near the level's secret areas. The first is in The UAC: after the blue key door, head down the slope outside toward the Elite Guard. The lever is inside the yellow cage on the left (look for the gap in the bars), and it opens an old-style Doom door in a small dead-end canyon nearby. The map screen marks classic maps once found.
