Before the fight, Psycho Mantis "reads your mind" by listing the Konami games saved on your memory card, tells you how often you've saved, makes the controller rumble on its own, and fakes your TV switching inputs: the screen goes black and reads "HIDEO" where you'd expect "VIDEO". In 1998 nobody had seen a game reach out of the screen like that. The famous solution, plugging the controller into port two so he can't read your inputs, is part of the same trick.

How to find it

Play up to the Psycho Mantis boss in the commander's office, on 1F of the Nuclear Warhead Storage Building. Have Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or Suikoden saves on the memory card for the fullest speech. When he starts dodging everything, move the controller to port 2.
