Behind a broken wall panel near Test Chamber 16 is a cramped den left by Doug Rattmann, an Aperture scientist who survived GLaDOS by hiding in the walls. He wrote "the cake is a lie" over and over, along with warnings about GLaDOS and drawings of the Companion Cube. Inside are cans of beans, water bottles, a bed made of boxes and a stove built from a computer heat sink. It's one of six dens in the game.
How to find it
In Test Chamber 16, after the first turrets, look for a wall panel propped open by two cubes. Put a portal behind it to get into the den. More dens are in Chambers 17, 18 and 19 and in the maintenance areas behind the walls.
