Behind a half-open sewer grate at the end of Water Hazard is a cave where a lone Vortigaunt roasts a headcrab over a fire and chants, stopping now and then to cough. Talk to him and he gives cryptic lines about Black Mesa, Xen, the Nihilanth and the G-Man. Fans call him the All-Knowing Vortigaunt, and finding him unlocks the Vorticough achievement.
How to find it
In Water Hazard, after shooting down the Hunter-Chopper at the dam reservoir and cranking open the big sliding gate, look for two sewer pipes in the concrete wall on your left. Climb into the left one, whose grate is partly open, and crawl past the radioactive sludge to the cave.
