Early players made easy money in White Orchard by killing cows for hides, meditating so the cows respawned, and doing it again. A 2015 patch note said only that it "deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative". Now, keep killing the cows and a level 27 chort with that name charges in to defend them.

How to find it

In White Orchard (the prologue area), kill the cows in a pen or field, meditate so they respawn and repeat. Guides disagree on the exact count, but after a few rounds the chort appears.
