The ending credits fly over each course in the game. Super Mario 64 reads the Control Stick on a second controller during this sequence, so a friend (or you) can swing the camera around and look at the levels from other angles. The game never mentions it.

How to find it

Plug a controller into port 2 before you beat Bowser in the Sky. When the ending and credits roll, tilt that controller's Control Stick.
